Running Accomplishments:

Last year I decided to run a marathon. I finally got in St. George, ran a 3:31, maybe could have gone faster but ran Logan 2 weeks before as a training run, and was going to drop out if I felt like I was going to bonk, finished in 3:37 or something, not bad for my first 2 at 40.

Short-Term Running Goals:

Finish the St. George runners series races to be a sure thing for the marathon.

Long-Term Running Goals:

I want to do at least 2 marathons a year, and not die at Coure de Alene in June.

Personal:

I am married to the most supportive lady in the world, sorry all other dudes, but you got second best there. She's the best, I also have 2 daughters, that are 16 and 13. They are pretty dang cool too.

Today I ran the river trail again, felt a little tired from last nights swim, but actually ran at a decent pace. It was colder than a .......... Anyway, enough of that, i thought about my report as I was running this morning. My question to all is, How freaking awesome are ipods? I'm cookin along listening to the craziest playlist of all time! I went from Daughtry to Metalica, to Pink, The Stones, Guns and roses, to Robby Williams. I'm listening to this and laughing. it lifts you up and puts a spring in your step when out of nowhere Eminem comes on, you know, the song from "8 Mile". Holy crap I started running fast. Oh well, enough about talking about that, because you all probably have experienced it already!

On a more personal note, during these horrible economic times, my family and I have decided to read a chapter in the scriptures, and say family prayers every night. I don't care what religion you belong to, it  will bring you closer together, and your little one will realise that time spent with them is very important. I'm not preaching, I'm just relaying what our family has experienced, and like I said earlier, it doesn't matter what church you go to or what what you believe, it will bring happiness, I promise...
